Happy Halloween!

This week while the kids were on half term break, we did loads of arts and craft activities to prepare them for tonight.

In South Africa we don’t really celebrate Halloween so I needed to prepare our sensitive kiddos for people dressing up, trick or treaters, and fireworks apparently, which non of us were prepared for, especially service dog Gus πŸ˜”

We had this amazing dinner Spicy chicken kale chili. Lucky didn’t try it even though he helped with adding the spices, but everybody else loved it!!!

Sadly, our ASD kiddos and Gus ended up being completely overstimulated by 6pm so our Halloween ended quote early.

I thought I would share the kids’ creations with you all!

After a long struggle we manage to carve a pumpkin each 😊

Pumpkins or Lego pumpkin world?!

Not bad for a first try, don’t you think?

We dressed up as wizards and witches with pumpkin and bat faces πŸ™‚ Can you believe Lucky actually let Daddy paint a bat on each cheek?!?!

The kids made their own hats (with a little bit of help from Toucan Box)

That was our half term Halloween fun week!

Now this week we have to start working on school work, and get Bear prepared to go back to school. I really hope that this short break helped Bear get back to his old self. And that school will be easier for him until the Christmas break. The last couple of months have been really hard for him.

So fingers-crossed!

We hope you all had a wonderful break😁

Love to all!

  1. Hi, Chantell. Wow. You have your hands full! I loved your answers to questions people ask you! Thanks for all the visits to my blog, and for following. I don’t know how you find time to do whatever needs to be done. Your son is lucky and blessed to have you and his father as parents.
    Cheers!
