It was wonderful to watch as Lucky recognise that his friend he was playing with was upset. Lucky asked his friend why and listened to the reply. Lucky went onto make a suggestion with help as to how we could make his friend feel better.
Lucky then put this straight into practise and recognised how his friend looked happier. The boys went onto play for some time together chatting about “their cakes” and taking turns to put them in the oven to cook, sharing the utensil and their ideas.
Recovering after upset
Lucky has very quickly recovered and joined back in with various activities after upsets today. He has shown real progress in this area, especially during sports where he had to contend with various turn taking and sharing scenarios. He got upset a few times, but with only one prompt he rejoined his friends.
